April 1, 2013- 19 1/2 Months Old

Ok, so I am a really bad Mommy.  It has been a busy 5 1/2 months since my last post.  I never knew how busy I would be chasing after a toddler and trying my best to keep the house picked up and keep up with him.  I am exhausted just thinking about it.  Haha.  Obviously Cameron has changed so much in the last 5 1/2 months that I definately can't remember everything, but I will do my best.

For Halloween Cameron was a little dragon and he was really cute.  We walked just to the end of our street and back to the house and that was enough.  It was cold and rainy and we had enough. Also, on October 13th his bottom left one year molar came in and then on the 31st his top two one year molars came in.

For Thanksgiving we stayed home and ate dinner with my family at my parents home.

December was a crazy month just trying to get prepared for Christmas.  I was deteremined this year to be prepared for Christmas and not overwhelmed like I was the previous year.  I believe I started my Christmas shopping in early November and I felt much better with my preparation.  On December 7th we went over to one of Jason's co-worker's/friends house for a Christmas work party.  Cameron and their daughter Josie played well together and ended up having their very first kiss that night.  I was definately not ready for that, but it was cute.  December 16th, we went to the Christmas Cantata at Rolling Hills Baptist Church, where we have been attending, and I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  That was a very emotional day and just a huge relief off of my shoulders.  I was very excited!  On the 17th he started to blow kisses when saying bye to someone.    On December 19th, we took Cameron to EnterTrainment Junction to look at trains and to see Santa for the second time.  He loved the display, but I loved what happened afterwards.  He said Momma for the first time, and pretty much since then he hasn't stopped talking.  He is so much fun.  Also, on the 19th he started to "Boom" people and things.  He goes up to someone and something and hits it and says "BOOM".  He is a funny boy.

In January and February he continued to say and learn more words.  On February 1st his bottom left incisor tooth came in.  On February 26th he went to the doctor for his 18 month appointment.  He weighed in at 23 pounds, 32 1/2 inches long, and his head was 18 3/4 inches in circumference.  I believe a week before his 18 month appointment I had to take him to the doctor, because he had been wheezing while at Jason's mom and dad's house.  So the doctor gave him and inhaler to use in case it happened again.

March was a very very busy month.  On March 3rd I got Baptized and Jason got Baptized again to support me.  Both sets of our parents were there and Jason's grandparents were in there as well.  It was great to have the love and support of our family and new friends at our church.  I also believe this was the last night that Cameron got a bottle before going to bed.  On the 4th I just gave him his milk in a sippy cup and we never had an issue again.  So that was way easier than I thought it was going to be.  Next is the pacifier.  He only uses it when he goes to sleep, so hopefully it won't be too bad, but he definately asks for it when he is upset at night time.  We shall see.  My goal is for it to be gone by 2.  Wish me luck.  The following weekend we went to Ironton so Jason's parents could watch Cameron while my parents were out of town.  While he was there he started wheezing again and having problems breathing.  When he got home on Wednesday he was still having issues despite being on Zyrtec nightly, using his inhaler, and taking benadryl.  We went to the doctor the next day and they gave him a breathing treatment and a prescription for Singulair and Prednisone.  We ended up going back to the doctor on Friday, because his inhaler wasn't giving him the relief like it was before.  So he ended up getting 2 breathing treatments that day and we got the go ahead to go to Florida which we were planning on doing that afternoon.  We ended up leaving for Florida about 2:30 that afternoon and by that evening Cameron was already breathing better and was very excited to be heading to Florida.  We arrived in Fort Walton Beach, Florida on Saturday afternoon and pretty much headed straight to the beach.  Cameron was not afraid of the sand or the water.  He absolutely loved it.  We had a pretty good week.  The first two days were in the 70's and then it was in the 60's the rest of the week.  We had fun and it was great to just be away and spend time together as a family without any other destractions.  Cameron's breathing got better and better throughout the week and I believe the last time he used his inhaler was on March 23rd.  He is still taking the Singulair at night, but I think it is helping keep things under control, because he did better at Jason's mom and dad's this past weekend.  Needless to say we have been out of town for 4 weekends in a row and I am excited to just be able to stay at home this weekend.

So that is pretty much everything that has happened in the last 5 1/2 months.  Some of Cameron's loves in his little life right now are obviousely his Mommy and Daddy.  He is obsessed with tractors and big trucks, he likes shoes, loves to eat potatoes, loves to be outside, loves his Gigi, Tat, Tedaw, and Momaw, loves his cousin Layla, and loves to run around and act crazy.  He is so much fun and I just love him to death.  Below are all the words that Cameron is saying right now.  I can't believe how smart he is.  He knows his colors and we are also starting to count.  He can count to 2 now.  Haha.

I can't believe I named 82 words that he is saying.  Is this normal for a 19 1/2 month old?  Is this normal for a mother of a 19 1/2 year old to know how many words they are saying?  Well, hopefully it won't be another 5 1/2 months before the next blog.  I will try and do better.  Enjoy!!!

October 14, 2012- 14 Months

Okay, so this has probably been the longest since I have gone without writing in this blog.  It has almost been 2 months.  I honestly don't even remember much about September, except for Cameron just continuing to improve his walking skills.  The last weekend in September we went to Blooms and Berries Farm in Loveland, Ohio so Cameron could pick out his first pumpkin.  We had a lot of fun there.  We went on a hayride and Cameron picked out his pumpkin, then we took pictures in a field of Sunflowers, then we looked at some animals at the petting zoo, and Cameron just ran around.  We had so much fun there and can't wait to go back next year.

October has been a crazy month so far, starting with October 1st.  My Mom called me about 3pm on Monday October 1st when I am at work.  I finally call her back around 3:15 and she tells me that Cameron is broken out in hives all over and he is coughing a little bit.  I asked her if he had anything new and she said that my dad (not knowing) gave Cameron a bite of a peanut butter cracker at noon.  I immediately call the pediatrician and talk to the nurse and she tells me to have my mom give him a dose of Benadryl and take him to the Emergency Room since it was coughing and didn't want any other respiratory problems to happen.  We meet them at the ER and Cameron was still coughing a little bit but not too much, he was calm and seemed comfortable.  I was a wreck.  We got back to a room and they checked him out and said his lungs sounded good and they said they would monitor him for an hour.  We ended up being there for probably over 2 hours, because they had some sort of glich in their system.  The doctor prescribed Cameron an Epi Pen and referred us on to see an Allergist to confirm his peanut allergy along with anything else.

The next morning I got up early before Cameron to take a shower, because I had an appointment to take my car to the dealership to get the transmission checked out before we headed to Gatlinburg on Wednesday.  I got up felt great and once Cameron woke up I just bent over his crib and my back just went out.  I was in immediate pain and unable to stand straight up.  I painfully picked Cameron up out of his crib, changed his diaper, and set him down and he had to walk out to his high chair.  I lifted him up in his high chair and tried to feed him breakfast, but he wasn't having it.  He for some reason wasn't in the mood to eat.  I sat down on the couch and called Jason and told him I needed help and see if he could come home while I went to the doctor where I work.  He was luckily able to leave work and help me out.  I left and went to the doctor and called my mom to see if she could help me out that day.  The physician assistant said I strained a muscle in my low back and prescribed me some muscle relaxers and ibuprofen and told me to take it easy and stretch.  I was in 9-10 pain that day, I was actually in more pain than childbirth, because the epidural was amazing and I was definately wish I had one on that day.  When I returned home my mom was there and was taking care of Cameron while I just sat on some ice.  She got Cameron down for a nap and went to get my prescriptions and lunch.  I then took a nap and tried to relax.  If it weren't for Jason and my mom I don't know what I would have done that day.  It was horrible.

Wednesday I woke up still not feeling well and not able to stand up straight.  It was awful.  I managed to get myself packed and everything us packed and together with many many breaks and my poor husband had to load everything up into the car, which took him probably a couple of hours.  We ended up getting on the road about 1:20pm, which I thought was pretty good.  Cameron did awesome in the car and fell asleep as soon as we got on the road and slept for 3 hours.  We made it to Gatlinburg and checked into the cabin and headed to dinner.  We were in Gatlinburg Wednesday through Saturday and my back progressively got better each day.  By Friday I could stand up straight and didn't have any muscle spasms just had some fatigue.  We had a great time and it was nice to get away for a little bit.

Tuesday, October 9th, I took Cameron to the allergist and he had 26+ scratches on his back.  It came back that he was allergic to peanuts and dogs.  So now we just have to watch everything that Cameron eats especially out of the house at restaurants.  It came back that he wasn't allergic to tree nuts, but I am going to avoid all nuts, because of them being processed in the same manufacturers and cross contamination.  We also knew that he was allergic to dogs, but its just the saliva, because he is fine with Carson and the rest of the family dogs, unless they lick him, then he just gets little bumps right where they lick him.  So now we carrie an Epi Pen wherever we go and make sure we always have Benadryl on hand as well.  He has to follow up with the allergist in 1-2 years depending on if he is having any other problems or not.  So I just hope and pray that we don't ever have to use the Epi Pens and he never breaks out in hives like that ever again.  It was scary.

Since then everything has been back to normal for the most part.  My back is feeling better just sore and stiff somedays.  Cameron is a wild man.  He is now atleast 20 pounds.  He is still just long and lean, but is growing and eating like crazy.  He loves chicken nuggets, hot dogs, bananas, spaghetti, fettucini alfredo, vegetable crackers, and yogurt.  He is a pretty good eater when he wants to be.  He is also expanding his little vocabulary.  He is now saying "Hey", "All Done", "Hot Dog", "Carson", and continues to say "Dad" and refuses to say "Mom".  Although if we ask him where the TV, floor, table, Mom, Dad, Carson, fan, couch, and Cameron he will point to whatever we say.  So he is getting smarter every day.  Everytime I look at him I can't help but smile and I usually laugh.  He just cracks me up.  He is though starting to test us and gets in trouble when he doesn't mind.  He also is now smiles when we ask him to, gives us a kiss when we ask him.  He loves to take laundry out of the dryer.  He typically only takes one nap a day and if we are really busy and doesn't take a nap he sleeps almost 12 hours at night.  We are down to one bottle just at night and still working on drinking milk out of the sippy cup.  Yesterday he drank 8 ounces of milk throughout the day and then today he probably only had 2 ounces of milk.  I would like it to be a little more consistant.  He has become attached to his pacifier and goes through times where he wants it all the times.  Most of the time he only has it when he is about to go to sleep.  So we will probably work on getting rid of that soon.  He now has 10 teeth.  His two 1st year molars on the bottom are in and the two top ones will be in soon.  He has been very active this month and has made so many changes.  I just can't believe he is already 14 months old.  Its crazy.  Well, I think that is all and I will do my best not to make it this long until next post.  Enjoy the pictures!

14 Months!
