Update

This past weekend was a very busy weekend for us.  Jason got our lower level painted, so we just have a few finishing touches and then we can move all of our office furniture down there so we can start on the nursery.  Jason felt our little man kick for the first time.  We also got started on our registry at Babies R Us on Sunday.  I think we got all the major things registered for, but we left a lot of things out, just because we didn't really know.  Jason was very overwhelmed and was stressing me out.  We also ordered our furniture for the nursery and it should be here within 2 weeks.  So I am very excited about that.  That's all the new things that are happening here.  I will update if anything else exciting happens.

IT'S A BOY!!!

Today we had our ultrasound and found out IT'S A BOY!!!  We are really excited.  During the ultrasound we got to see all 4 chambers of the heart, it eye sockets, nasal canal, brain, spine, and they looked at all of his long bones in his arms and legs.  Everything looked good.  His heartbeat was at 141 bpm.  He still had his legs crossed, so the picture of his little penis isn't very good, but the ultrasound tech said she was 100% sure that it is a boy.  As of right now his head is down and is facing my left side.  His legs are crossed and his hands are up around its face.  We did actually get to see his little hands move a little bit during the ultrasound.  This was really the coolest thing I have seen so far.  During the ultrasound after laying there for awhile I got really hot and a little nauseous.  I asked Jason for some water and sat up for a bit, then the ultrasound tech had me lay on my left side for a bit.  That is actually when she could see that it was a boy.  After laying on my side for awhile I felt better and then she had me lay on my back for a couple of extra pictures.  I asked the tech how long he was and she said at this point they usually don't measure the length, but they look at the long bones in their arms and legs, size of head, and around its waist and that helps to determine how long he is.  She said he is probably about 9in long right now.  We are very excited and I am looking forward to doing our registry very soon.  Jason is also excited that we don't have to paint the nursery since the room is already blue.  Below are all the ultrasound pictures that they gave us.  Our next appointment is in 4 weeks on April 19th.  That is when I have to do the sugar test to make sure I don't have diabetes.  I have to drink this sugar juice an hour before my appointment.  Let hope everything goes well with that.  I will keep you updated with any exciting news.  Enjoy the pictures.

Babymoon Day 5

Today was our last full day here.  We got up a little earlier than we had so we could spend some extra time on the beach.  This morning the water was really calm so we rented a kayak and just messed around out in the ocean looking for dolphins for about an half hour.  Unfortunately, we didn't see any dolphins at all today.  Jason was really bummed.  Today the temperature was a little warmer than it had been and I probably got a little too much sun today.  After being out at the beach for about 7 hours today we came back to to condo t get ready for dinner.  We went to Fudpuckers and then we went to The Baywharf Village in SanDestin.  This was a cool little shopping and dining area.  It was really neat.  Although, Jason probably didn't enjoy it as much as I did, because he was limping while we were walking around.  I forgot to mention on Wednesday Jason decided to run barefoot in the sand to the pier and back, which was about 4 1/2 miles.  Afterwards and the next mornng he said his calfs were really sore, but that was about it.  Then he decided to do this thing called Paddle Boarding, which is basically standing on an oversided surf board and then you have a paddle that you push yourself around on standing on top of the water.  He said when he was doing that he slip and fell to his knees at one point, but doesn't remember hurting anything then, but since then he has been complaining of the outside of his foot hurting and limping.  I checked it out and he may have fractured it or sprained something really bad, it is just in a weird spot on the outside of his foot/ankle.  So he may be getting an x-ray once we get back home.

Our plans for tomorrow is to get up early and head to the beach for just a little bit and try and leave here by 11am, which is actually 12pm at home.  We are going to drive as far as we can and then stop and drive the rest of the way on Sunday.  Then we will probably meet Jason's parents somewhere on Monday to get our only baby right now, Carson.  We have missed him a lot, but he has had his own little vacation on Grandma and Grandpa Townsend's 15 acres.  Until Tuesday!!!!  Unless something else exciting happens.

Babymoon Day 4

Today was absolutely perfect!  The temperature was a but warmer and it wasn't as windy.  The water was calmer but too cold for me to get in, although Jason has got in everyday.  Today there were also a lot of dolphins swimming right out in front of where we were on the beach about 100-200 yards off the beach.  Jason was very excited and rented a kayak and wnet out there and they were swimming under his kayak and he was able to see their little scars and hear them breath out their blowholes.  He said he sounds just like humans breathing through snorkels.  Today we mainly just laid out on the beach, then we went out to dinner at Harry T's.  It was crazy because of St. Patty's Day.  People were everywhere.  The baby is getting more and more active everyday.  Today I could feel it kick pretty much after everytime I ate, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  We cannot wait til Tuesday when we find out what this little one is.  Once we find out we will have to get our butts in gear and finish the basement along with the nursery.  So much to do and only 20 more weeks to go.  Half way through.  I can't believe it has already been 20 weeks, I am just glad I feel so much better than I did before.  Until tomorrow!

Babymoon Day 3

Today was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky.  The morning was great, but when we came back out after lunch it was very windy and seemed much cooler outside.  So I spent most of the afternoon covered up with a towel and reading a book.  This wasn't too bad though, because my feet got so burnt yesterday I actually had to wear socks on my feet today while I was laying out.  Pretty pathetic!  About 3ish I did come up to go to the bathroom and all the retirees that live down here were having some sort of party with catered food and live music, so I sat on the balcony and enjoyed some of the music and watched all the old people dance.  It was pretty entertaining.  Tonight we went back to The Dancin' Iguana, because Mexican always sounds good!  After that we went to a couple of shops then we went Putt Putting.  Unfortunately, we ended in a tie, so we might have to go back sometime this week for a tiebreaker.  I felt the baby move again after lunch today, haven't felt it again tonight, but haven't relexed much yet to see.  Until tomorrow!

Babymoon Day 2

Today was our second full day at the beach.  Today was pretty much a perfect day.  The sun was shining all day and in the low 70's.  Jason probably got on the beach about 9:30 this morning and I probably got there about 10:30.  We laid out for a couple of hours and then came in for some PB&J sandwiches and some chips and headed back out about 1.  We stayed on the beach just relaxing and soaking in the sun.  We also went for a short walk, but I had to pee so bad we had to cut the walk a little short so I could get back to the condo to go to the bathroom.  I stayed in the condo while Jason headed back out for about another hour.  while I was just watching tv I felt the back move around some more.  It is just a pretty cool feeling.  Tonight we decided we wanted Italian for dinner and found this place called Lafamigilia Italian Retaurant.  This place was the best Italian food we have ever head.  This was a family owned restaurant and the whole family worked there and they were from Rome, Italy.  I ordered fettucini alfredo and Jason had a pizza, we both had to bring left overs home and we are very excited for lunch tomorrow.  The only bad thing that happened today was my feet and the back of my legs got burnt.  Besides that all is well and we look forward to another relaxing day.  Until tomorrow.

Babymoon!

We are currently on vacation which will probably be the last time we are alone on vacation for quite awhile.  We arrived here in Fort Walton Beach, Florida yesterday afternoon.  We layed out a little on the beach yesterday and went out to dinner.  It is really just nice to be able to relax a little.  Today the forecast was supposed to be mostly cloudy, so we decided we would just drive around and go shopping a little.  We walked around a few shops and the day ended up being nicer than they had forecast so we ended up coming back to the beach and layed out for about 2 hours or so, then went out to dinner at Angler's Beachside Grill.  It was pretty good, just a little chilly.  Some exciting news is I think I have actually felt the baby move or kick for the first time so far.  I am a little over 19 weeks old and I felt this movement I have never felt before about 5 or 6 times this evening.  It feels as though the baby is rolling over.  I am not exactly sure what its supposed to feel like, but I have never felt anything like this before.  So I am pretty excited and looking forward to feeling this more and more.  Also, my belly is continuing to grow and definately can tell especially in a swimsuit.  Also, a week from tomorrow we get to find out what our little one is going to be.  I can't wait to find out, but don't want to wish my time down here away.  It just feels great to relax and just be together and enjoy each other without all the craziness during our regular days back at home.  I will keep you updated if I feel anymore movement or any other exciting events that happen while we are relaxing.

17 Weeks Check Up

We had our monthly appointment and this one wasn't very exciting.  We did see a different doctor this time and she was very nice and answered all of our questions we had.  The Baby's heartbeat was at a steady 150 bpm.  Everything looked good.  I am a little disappointed though that we have to wait three weeks for out ultrasound to find out what we are having.  They didn't have any appointment they fit our schedule for next week and the following week we will be on vacation.  So March 22nd we will find out what our little one is.  We are very excited and I really don't want to wait three more weeks, but hopefully it will go quickly.  I will write if anything else exciting happens.
