34 Weeks!!!

Today I had a growth ultrasound and doctor appointment.  He scored perfect again on the BioPhysical portion of the ultrasound.  He is still head down, his spine is on the left side of my abdomen, his butt is sticking straight up in the air underneath my sternum, and his feet are on my right side where he is always kicking me.  Today his head measured at 9cm with a gestational age of 36 weeks and 6 days, his waist was still measuring a little small at 27 cm with a gestational age of 32 weeks and 4 days, and his femur bone was 6cm, which the ultrasound tech said was a little small as well.  The doctor wasn't concerned with these measurements however, because he is still growing overall.  He weighed in today at 4 pounds 13 ounces.  As of right now he is in the 23rd percentile.  His heartbeat was 154bpm and he was very active today.  I did ask the ultrasound tech to get a shot of his private parts, because Jason has been very worried since we hven't had a good picture of his "little pecker", so we were able to get a shot of that nd the whole thing looks like a turle shell (scrotum) with its head poking out (penis).  We also got a few more shots of his cute little face.  Today I also checked out good.  Weight was good and blood pressure was 128/82.  The plan is to have another BioPhysical ultrasound next week, then in two weeks I will have those weekly and then see the doctor and will be getting checked to see if I am dialating any.  I will have another growth ultrasound in 4 weeks and at that point I will be 38 weeks.  I will keep you all updated and I hope you enjoy the pictures.

33 Weeks!

Today I had another BioPhysical Ultrasound and doctors appointment.  This one wasn't as exciting as last week.  He did score a perfect score on his ultrasound and got an 8 out of 8 again, his heart rate was 134bpm.  He is however still head down and was very active.  It wasn't as exciting, because this ultrasound tech didn't take any good pictures like last week.  I was hoping she would since Jason got to be there, but she didn't.  A little bummed about that.  My weight and blood pressure were all good today.  My blood pressure was 122/74 today.  Everything went well.  Next week we will get the growth ultrasound, so we will get to see how much he has grown since 3 weeks ago.  Updates with me today, I think my pelvis is starting to move and get ready for delivery.  Today at work I was getting a sharp pain in my SI joint with certain movements, so I know my hips are getting prepared.  I guess that is a good thing.  Until next week, and hopefully some more pictures.

32 Weeks!

32 Weeks Pregnant!

Today I had another BioPhysical Ultrasound and doctors appointment and it really couldn't have gone any better.  Jason's mom came with me today so she was really excited to get to see pictures of Baby Cameron.  Anyhow, Cameron scored a perfect score, 8 out of 8, on his BioPhysical, bloodflow threw the umbilical cord was good, breathing was good, heart rate was 141bpm, ambiotic fluid was good, and whatever else they looked at was good.  He is still head down and we got a lot of really good pictures of him today, which you will see below.  W also got to see him yawn which was really cute and move his hands quite a bit in front of his face.  The ultrasound tech also said that his has a lot of hair, there is also a picture of that below.  So everthing with Mr. Cameron was good this week and lets just hope and pray that he continues to behave in there.  Everything was also good with me for the most part.  My weight was good, blood pressure was good at 128/76, and I did have a little bit of sugar in my urine, but they pricked my finger to test my blood sugar and it was 101 which was fine.  So the plan is to do another BioPhysical Ultrasound and follow up with the doctor next week, and then in 2 weeks get another Growth Ultrasound to see how much he has grown.  I did just read somewhere that they are supposed to gain about 8 ounces every week from this point on, so we will see what he weighs in 2 weeks.  I hope you all enjoy the pictures.

This is a picture of his hair on the back of his head.  If you look at the top rght section where it is all white and kindof stringy looking that is his hair.  I wonder if it will be blond or brown???

31 Weeks

Cameron's cute little face, his lips look funny, b/c the umbilical cord is running acrossed them, but his lips are normal.  Who's nose do you think he has?

Today I had another ultrasound to follow-up on why my belly was measuring small last week and to follow-up on my bloodwork.  The ultrasound showed that he is weighing 3 pounds 11 ounces, his head was measuring in the 90th Percentile, which I believe I saw was about 8cm.  His belly only measured in the 3rd Percentile, which is a little small for where he is supposed to be.  I think when she was measuring his belly is gestational age was 29 weeks for his belly.  His overall age, was 32 weeks 4 days.  The ultrasound tech said that his head was making up for his belly at this point.  He is also head down already at this point and I believe he was facing my right side and that his feet are up and around my right side which is where he has been jabbing me in the side pretty good.  We got to see all 4 chambers of his heart funtioning good, he was also breathing, but he was being difficult he would breath several times and stop and then breath again.  The ultrasound tech said that was all normal though.  My cervix, placenta, and amniotic fluid all looked good along with the blood flow threw the umbilical cord.  The babies heart rate was 151 bpm.  Overall, everything looked good besides his belly measurement.  All of my bloodwork, blood pressure, and weight all looked good.  Due to his belly measurement the doctor recommended that I get a weekly BioPhysical Ultrasound which measures his fetal movements and follow-up with the doctor following the ultrasound, and then in 3 weeks we will get another growth ultrasound to make sure he is continuing to grow like he is supposed to.  She just instructed me to count his kicks and make sure I am counting 10 kicks in an hour just once a day.  So all in all everything looked good.  Let just keep our fingers crossed that everything continues to look good and we have a healthy little boy in about 8 1/2 weeks.
