I can't believe Cameron is now 6 1/2 weeks years old.  I am so blessed that I didn't have to return to work on Monday and I am very happy I have 5 1/2 weeks left.  He is growing up so fast already I can't believe it.  He is already starting to get a little personality and we can usually get him to smile and laugh a little bit when we want him to.  He is still a very good baby and I couldn't ask for a better baby.

Last weekend Jason and I went for an hour walk at a nearby park with Cameron and Carson.  It was nice to exercise together as a family.  We all had a good time.  Carson even got to go swimming.

Last night Jason and I went out to dinner for our third anniversary and Cameron came along with us.  I have to say it definately wasn't the most relaxing dinner we have had together.  Cameron was definately a little fussy, because he was hungry and had a wet diaper.  We pretty much ate in shifts.  Jason held Cameron while I ate my salad and when I was finished I took him to the bathroom to nurse him and change his diaper.  I was probably gone for about 15minutes.  I felt bad leaving Jason at the table by himself.  Once we got back Cameron was pretty quiet and calmed down, so we just laid him down on the floor with a blanket and he just played and talked to himself while Jason and I finished our meal.  I think next year we will just get a babysitter.  Haha!

Cameron's sleeping pattern has changed a little the past few days.  He spoiled me all last week when he was sleeping 6-8 hours every night.  Last night was better though, I laid him down at 11pm and he slept until 4am.  I got up, changed him, and nursed him and probably laid him back down by 4:30am and then he was back up at 7:30am.  I did the same and laid him back down by 8am.  Then I pumped and I was back in bed by 8:30 and then back up at 9:30am and I have been up ever since and he has been sleeping, eating, peeing, pooping, and playing all day.  Well, my little man is tired of playing on his little gym.  Enjoy the pictures from the last week.

I can't believe it has been over a week since I last posted.  I apologize for being so long, but we have been busy around here.  I am still amazed how busy I am now and I am not even working.  Well, Cameron is now 5 weeks and 5 days old.  He is still the best baby ever.  The past 3-4 nights he has probably slept on average 5-6 hours through the night.  I definitely can't complain about that.  He still only really cries when he is wet or hungry.  Although, some nights he gets really fussy when he is tired and it takes me awhile to get him to calm down and go to sleep.  I end up checking his diaper to making sure it is dry, try feeding him, and he will usually scream, so then I know he is just tired and wants to be held and rocked.  It gets frustrating sometimes, but it doesn't matter, because the next time I see him he usually just gives me a smile. This morning after sleeping 7 hours through the night it was 5am and he was wide awake and just smiled and made all kinds of noises.  It just made me laugh out loud and it didn't even matter that I was still tired.  To see him so happy and healthy means the world to me.  I am so blessed to have him in my life and I never knew I could love anyone even Jason as much as I love Cameron.

Anyhow, this past weekend we finally got to take our boat out.  We took it to the river so my dad could help us do a couple of things to it and check us both out on how to operate it and other things like that.  We had a lot of fun and I am really excited to be able to enjoy it hopefully a couple more times this year if the weather cooperates and all summer next year.  Cameron has not yet been on it, but we did buy him a life vest.  He stayed on the big boat with grandma last weekend.  All in all everything is going really well for us and I couldn't be happier.  Here are some pictures I hope you all enjoy.

Wednesday September 14, 2011

So I guess after talking with my parents the lack of sleep may have compromised my math skills.  I guess last Saturday when I posted Cameron was a month old, technically he was only 4 weeks old and yesterday he was officially one month old since it was September 13th.  So hopefully I will get that right next month.  Haha.

Today was Cameron's one month check up at the pediatrician.  He was such a good little boy.  He weighed in at 10 pounds 6 ounces, 22 1/4 inches long, and his head was 15 inches.  He was so happy and awake the whole time while we were waiting for the doctor to come in.  We had to wait for a litle while probably 30 minutes or more, because the doctor was in next door with a baby that I think was having some issues and didn't sound like it was very happy.  Cameron just laid on the table and just looked around the room and smiled and just made noises.  When the doctor came in she listened to his heartbeat, lungs, and checked him out.  She said he looked really good and his weight gain was great for a breast fed baby. She also said it was okay to start pumping a little if needed and not to wait until right before I go back to work to give him a bottle.  At the end Cameron got his second Hepatitis B vaccine shot, so he turned from a very happy baby to a very upset baby.  He cried immediately and little tears just rolled down his face.  It was so sad.  He got calmed down and I got him dressed.  He fell asleep on the way home and slept for about 45 minutes, woke up to get his diaper changed and eat, and is back to sleep again for about an hour.  He is such a good baby.  I can't believe how blessed we are.  The past two night he has also slept a lot longer.  Last night he slept from 11pm to 5:30AM.  I hope that continues.  I will post some pictures later.  Enjoy!!!

Saturday September 10, 2011- One Month Old

I can't believe my baby is already one month old.  It is crazy how fast the past four weeks have gone so far and how much Cameron has changed in just four weeks.  He is such a good baby and we couldn't be more blessed to have him in our lives.  He is so much fun even in the middle of the night when I have to get up to change and feed him.  He likes to make little grunting noises when going to sleep and stretching at the same time.  He smiles more and more every day.  He is also more alert and likes to watch toys or Jason and I.  He loves to be talked to and usually he talks back.  This past week he has upgraded from newborn diapers to size one diapers.  He is getting so big.  He is now able to wear some of his 3 month outfits that were too big a week or two ago.  His hair is still out of control.  He loves to be in the car, stroller, or grocery cart.  He just loves to be moving and usually falls asleep.  He also loves to lye on mine or Jason's chest and falls asleep the majority of the time when there.  He is such and amazing baby and we really couldn't be any luckier to have him in our lives.  I hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Thursday September 8, 2011

Today was a busy day.  Cameron and I had some running around to do.  We left the house around 11am and went to Ikea first to get a mesh organizer thing to hang from the  ceiling in Cameron's room to put all of his stuffed animals in.  We then went to Buy Buy Baby to return something.  Next we stopped at my work in Mason so Angie and other co-workers could see Cameron.  Then we went to Lebanon to see Grandma and Uncle Scott.  We missed Grandpa, because he was at a business meeting.  We went to Gold Star for lunch then mom and I went to Target and Kohls.  We were on a mission to find Cameron some new hats to wear, because his 0-6month size hats are a little tight already.  We found a winter hat that he can grow into, but not any of the little hats.  I may have to go to Babies R Us tomorrow to see what I can find.  Cameron was really good all day.  He slept from the time I left the house until I got to the tire store about 1:15.  I changed his diaper and fed him there.  He then slept for the majority of the time until we got to Target and then I had to change him there again.  He is a good little baby.  He does however like to pee and poop on me.  Tuesday evening around 5ish I was changing Cameron's diaper and it was wet and dirty, I was in transition from getting the dirty diaper out and the clean one underneath him and he pooped and it shot over top the edge of the changing table and got two spots on the floor.  I screamed and jumped out of the way while still holding onto his legs.  Today around the same time 5pm I was changing him and was shocked to find that he hadn't pooped since earlier this morning.  As I was talking to Cameron asking him why he hadn't pooped all day he then decided to pee all over himself and me, then poop, then pee some more.  I got my hands over the stream of pee so it wouldn't get on the bed or anything, and luckily the diaper was still there to catch the poop.  For some reason he only desides to do this to me and not Jason.  I can't wait til that happens to him.  Cameron has more and more facial expressions everyday and is smiling more and too.  He likes to get kisses from his mom and dad.  At the moment he prefers to nurse on my left side.  Whenever he nurses on the right side he latches on and then lets go and then latches on and lets go with several screams and cries between there.  I think my milk is just coming out too fast for him, but not sure.  He has been like that just the past few days, so hopefully that will change soon.  That is all for now, until next time.

Labor Day Weekend- 3 Weeks Old

Cameron has had a busy little first Labor Day Weekend.  He made his first trip to Ironton and slept the entire way down and back.  We didn't have to stop once.  He is such a good little traveler already.  He got to visit with Momaw and Papaw Townsend, Great Momaw and Great Papaw Shafer, Aunt Courtney, Uncle Jeff, Cousin Layla, Great Uncle Mike, Great Aunt Trish, and Cousin Summer.  We spent Friday through Sunday morning in Ironton.  We then came back home and slept a lot Sunday afternoon.  Monday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Luti's big boat on the river.  It was a little too cold for us to take it for a ride, but we just hung out inside.  So at three weeks old Cameron has already visited 3 different states, has road in a car for 2 hours and 40 minutes, and has been on a boat already.  He is doing really good and everyone says he is growing and they can see changes in him everytime they see him.  Hopefully this week we can get everything for our new boat fixed and ready to go so we can take it out for a little ride.  Until any more new updates.  Enjoy the pictures!

Friday September 2, 2011

At this very moment Cameron is sleeping.  The past two days his schedule has been completely different especially in the evening time.  Wednesday we mainly relaxed most of the day except for trying to get our title for the boat at 10am Wednesday morning.  He took a pretty good nap in the afternoon, but then Wednesday evening he was not a happy boy and we didn't get him down until about 11:30pm.  I was definately exhausted.  He did however sleep atleast 5 hours.  Yesterday, was a busy afternoon.  I took him to get his pictures taken at 12:40pm and he was really good until the end.  He got really fussy and was wet and dirty, and hungry.  I ended up changing his diaper three times while we were there and feeding him.  Overall he was good.  He slept in the car while driving home, but was awake and hungry again when we arrived.  My brother and his friend Chaz stopped by to visit, and he was awake the entire time then, and then we had reservations at 7:30 at Montgomery Inn for my brother's birthday.  He may have layed down for about 20 minutes the entire afternoon.  But he was a very good boy for mommy and slept from 7-9pm the entire time we were at Montgomery Inn.  I was very happy about that.  Cameron has started to have little tears come out of his eyes when he cries, but nothing that has rolled down his cheeks yet.  He is also very good at following things with his eyes, whether it is someone talking to him or if someone has a toy and is moving it back and forth.  Well, I got to go, he is now crying.  Enjoy the pictures from last night.
