Wow! It has been a long time since I have last posted. Things have been crazy since we got back home from Gatlinburg for Thanksgiving. We had a good time down there, but things were a little slower than they usually are. Jason had a difficult time not leaving the hotel until after 12pm each day. Our morning routine while we were down there was we would wake up around 8am, I would feed Cameron and pump while Jason would go to the fitness center and take a shower. Then we would go downstairs and eat breakfast and by that time we would come up and it was time for Cameron to take a nap. While he was napping I would take a shower and get ready and then he would wake up around 11:30ish and eat and then we would get him ready and then head out of the hotel after 12. It was definately good for Jason to slow down a little bit, because he really doesn't know how to do that. Thanksgiving dinner was great at the Apple Barn. After eating I think we just came back to the hotel and relax a little and then later went out to dinner next to our hotel. Friday we were able to go to the Chimney Tops and jump around on the rocks. Cameron absolutely loved walking around in his carrier and then he fell asleep in it. After the Chimney Tops we went up to Clingman's Dome. The park ranger said that there was 100 mile visibility that day. Later that evening we went to the Old Mill for dinner. It was really good. Saturday morning we left and got home around 3:30pm. Cameron is a great traveler. He slept all the way down there and all the way back home except for the one time we stopped to feed and change him and get ourselves something to eat.
We have been very busy since we have returned. That Tuesday we met and signed a contract to get new flooring put in our house. It was supposed to be a 2 day job, but ended up taking 5 days, so the installers didn't get finished until last Sunday. We ended up putting laminate flooring in our living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, and our two landing. Then we put hardwood stair treads in as well. So since Sunday we got our house cleaned up and on my days off I have been trying to get the house back together, decorate for Christmas, and take care of Cameron. It has been crazy. Not to mention I have yet to buy a single thing for Christmas. Tonight we are getting Cameron's pictures taken. I am hoping they turn out good and he is a good boy.
Cameron is still a really good boy and continues to sleep through the night. He absolutely loves to chew on pretty much anything. His hands, bibs, wash cloths, his Sophie Giraffe, and blankets. He loves to be sung to. He likes to watch Barney when my mom is watching him. He has also begun rolling over in his bed. The first time was last Friday December 2nd at 11pm. He is getting so big and I love him so much. Cameron goes back to the doctor on the 20th for his 4 month check up. So until then I hope you all enjoy the pictures. Hopefully I can update you before the 20ths.

November 19, 2011 14 Weeks Old
It has been another busy week. I worked Monday and Wednesday and it wasn't the best week. We were short on staff both days and it just wasn't much fun. Cameron was a pretty good boy for my mom both days. Although he scratched his nose and forehead pretty bad when he was there (pictures to follow). Wednesday night I was exhausted from a bad day at work and all I needed and thought I was going to get was a good nights sleep. Well, that didn't happen. Cameron just didn't sleep well. He kept waking up and crying allowed and kept moving up against his rail. I probably went in his room probably 4 times that night and at 5am ended up having to feed him to get him settled down. This past week his napping routine hasn't been so good either. He only wants to sleep for about 45 minutes and then he wakes up screaming, and then of course, if I pick him up and rock him he will go back to sleep for another 45 minutes to an hour. I don't know how to break this cycle, because he will continue to scream and cry if I just leave him in his crib. Ugg! I am not sure if I have mentioned it on here yet or not, but we have been dealing with some skin issues with Cameron. His chest and abdomen have been really dry, red, and scaly. His arms and legs are also really rough and dry. We have been putting mainly just oil on him for the past month and his skin really hadn't gotten any better. So I made an appointment for Friday to get him back to see the pediatrician. She said that he has excema and she prescribed a steroid cream to help relieve the itching and inflammation. After one day of use his skin looks so much better already. I really hope this takes care of the issue and he doesn't have to deal with this the rest of his life. You can already tell that he feels better already. My biggest challenge will be to dress him a little bit cooler than I have been. It seems when he gets hot it gets worse as well. He is a good boy and we love him very much. Last night I got him laughing hysteriacally. I was making some goofy laughing noise and he just though it was hilarious and would laugh and scream out loud. It was too funny. This weekend we plan on just relaxing around the house and then prepare and start packing for Cameron's first trip to Gatlinburg for Thanksgiving. We are looking forward to it but it is definately going to be different than the past years. I will update this once we get back and hopefully with lots of great pictures.

Sunday November 13, 2011- 3 MONTHS OLD!
It has been over a week since my last post and we have had a busy week. A week ago today was probably one of the roughest days of my life. I had to leave Cameron for the first time. I was just not in a good mood all day Sunday and was dreading having to leave him. We left our house about 6pm that night to head to my parents to drop Cameron off. The plan was for me to feed him about 7:30 and then leave and Mom would give him his bottle around 10ish. Well we got there and he could definately tell that I was upset and he didn't eat well from me at all which then made him really upset and he was difficult to settle down, which then made me even more upset. It was horrible. We finally got out of there a little before 9 and I cried the majority of the way home. That night she fed him his bottle around 10 something and he fell asleep, but she didn't get much sleep that night. She said Cameron kept making noises so she would get up and give him his pacifier and a neighbor dog was also outside barking until 3am. So my mom wasn't very happy that night. But Cameron slept through the night and did really good the rest of the day. They just hungout at the house so he could get used to being there. She then had Cameron back to our house by the time I got home from work and was able to feed him right when I got home. The smile on his face when I got home was the greatest thing in the world to come home to. My first day back to work wasn't too bad, we weren't too busy and I was able to pump when I needed to, but all could really think about was just getting home to see my boy.
Tuesday we just hung around the house all day and just relaxed for the most part until we had to take him back to my parent's house. This time it wasn't as bad as Sunday, but it is definately not easy leaving him.
Wednesday was another pretty good day at work, not too busy. The only thing I really think about is waiting until the clock hits 5pm so I can leave and come home to my boy. Mom and Dad both had Cameron here right before I got home after work. My dad left work early so he could come home and hang out with Cameron some. I think they both had a lot of fun playing with each other. When Cameron is laying on his activity center he likes to kick his legs, and then my dad comes up to him and moves his legs real quick back and forth and then tells Cameron "to run real fast" and he just cracks up. It is so funny.
Thursday we hung around the house and I don't think we did a whole lot. Although, Cameron kept me busy that day, because for some reason he wanted to eat every 2 1/2 hours and would only sleep for about 45minutes to an hour. So I was busy messing with him all day.
Friday we met my mom, Grandma Hicks, and Aunt Brenda for lunch and then we went to Ikea. We had Cameron in his carseat in a cart for awhile and he wanted out of that, so I carried him around for a little while and then he started to get fussy and cry. It was time for him to eat, so I grabbed his bottle and I walked as fast as I could to the cafeteria part to get some hot water. By the time I got there he was sound asleep. So I got the hot water and put his bottle in it and just stood there swaying back and forth with him. Once his bottle was warm I walked back to find my mom, grandma, and aunt. We walked around the upstairs some more and then once we got downstairs my arms and upper back were burning from still holding him while he slept. He was still asleep, but I put him back in his car seat so he could sleep some more. Within 5 minutes he was awake and content for a little while. Then he got hungry and so I picked him up and carried him around and fed him while finish walking through the rest of IKEA. I don't know how much he weighs, but he is heavy carrying him around for atleast 45 minutes. I was definately sweating. Friday evening Jason, Cameron, and I went out to eat at a mexican restaurant and he slept while we were there, then we came home and watched the first
Duke Basketball game of the season. Cameron wore his Duke onesie and Duke hat.
Saturday afternoon we had to go to my parents to winterize our boat. Jason and my dad did that while my mom and I played with Cameron. We were only there for about 2 hours, but didn't get home until 5:30 or 6 so we just relaxed the rest of the evening.
Today Jason's parents came up to see Cameron. They got here around 2pm and got to visit with Cameron, and then we went out to lunch. Cameron fell asleep on the way there and slept for a little bit while we were there. Then he woke up and I think he was a little scared because he didn't know where he was and he cried pretty hard. So we all took turns holding him for awhile. Jason and Cecil both walked him around the restaurant several times while we were there. Rita changed his diaper and then he calmed down for a bit and I almost got him to go back to sleep while we were eating. Then he got hungry so I had to get some hot water to warm his bottle. He ate his entire 6 ounce bottle. He is definately a big boy and eats like one. When we got home I got all of Cameron's stuff together and got all the milk he would need for tomorrow and Wednesday out of the freezer. We left our house about 6:30 and headed to my parent's house. We stayed for about 30 minutes, but he was a much happier boy tonight, so it makes it a little easier to leave, but it is still hard to leave him. I already talked with my mom and she said that he pooped up to his neck and got all over his clothes. She said it was a mess. He is is good hands, but I can't wait to see my little boy tomorrow a little after 5pm.
This past week Cameron is getting stronger with his tummy time. He lifted his head and chest up off the floor and looked around both directions. He also is reaching for things and holding onto them. He absolutely loves to watch TV and whenever the TV is on he will turn his head completely around to watch it. He is just growing so fast. I can't believe he is 3 months old today. Well, hopefully it won't be so long until the next post.

Friday November 4, 2011
Well, it has been another week since I last posted anything, but it has been a busy week. Last weekend I think we just hung around the house and relaxed.
Monday was Halloween so we just relaxed all day, and then we got ready for trick or treat around 5:30. We went outside a little before 6 so we could take some pictures, but all Cameron did was really cry, so I brought him inside and set him down in his swing and he was out. He was definately tired. He just doesn't like to take his naps in the afternoon when his mommy wants him to take a nap. He slept for an hour and then got up and ate for a half hour. So he pretty much missed all of trick or treating, but we were able to see our old neighbors. They always come by at then end, so they got to see Cameron and it was great to see them again. I definately miss having them around.
Tuesday we went to Lebanon to eat lunch with my parents and brother, and of course Cameron wanted to eat when it was time for us to eat, so I fed him a bottle at the restaurant and then my mom finished burping him so I could eat my food. After that I had a hair appointment, and my mom held him and he slept while I was getting that done. Then we went to my Grandma Hick's so she could see him. He was a little sleepy there too, but was also hungry so I had to feed him there too. She really enjoys seeing Cameron. Once we got Cameron in the car he fell asleep again and slept until I got home.
Wednesday we hung around the house again and didn't do a whole lot. Although I did get my closet and drawers cleaned out in between feeding, changing, and playing with Cameron. He only likes to take about an hour nap in the afternoons, so it is hard to get anything done. But I did get that done, so that felt good, then I swapped out my summer clothes for fall and winter clothes.
Yesterday I had an eye appointment at 10am and a dentist appointment at 11am, so my mom came down to watch Cameron. That was the longest I had been away from him and it was about an hour and a half and I didn't like it too much. When my mom had gotten there Cameron was already down for a nap, so when he woke up she went in there and he first smiled at her and then had a serious look on his face and wondered why she was in there to get him and not his mommy. She said she talked to him for a little bit so he got used to her. She then changed his diaper and fed him. When I got back she was still feeding him, but he took a break to look at me to see where I had been. After he was done eating we heading out to eat and he fell asleep instantly in the car. We went to Chili's and he slept for a good hour while we were there until we went to Target and Mom banged his carseat on the grocery cart trying to get him in the cart. He was good though while we were there. On the way home he started to get hungry so I fed him as soon as we got home. He played for awhile and actually laid down for a nap and slept for an hour unterrupted. If you haven't noticed he doesn't nap well in the afternoons and it usually only lasts an hour or so and usually crys in the middle of it. He woke up around 5:15 so I fed him again and then he needed a bath. He has some craddle cap as well, so I read that you can put baby oil in there hair for about 15 minutes to loosen up the dry skin and then wash their hair. So I put some oil in his hair and let him play on his mat for about 15 minutes while I got his bath stuff together. Yesterday was his first bath in the tub, he has quickly outgrown the sink. He did really well and got to stretch out quite a bit. He even kicked his legs and splashed a little bit. I did get quite a bit of dead skin off of his scalp, so hopefully that takes care of that.
Cameron continues to do great at night and usually goes to sleep between 10 and 11 and sleeps until I wake him up between 8 and 8:30. He is still sleepy at that time, so I am debating back and forth whether or not to let him sleep until 9, because sometimes he eats and falls asleep. We will see how it goes, he is just doing so good at night time I don't want to mess his schedule up too much.
Cameron is still becoming more and more alert everyday. He watches us where ever we go. He pays more attention to Carson and what he is doing. He laughs alot and is even screaming when he gets excited when he is playing. It is pretty funny. He loves to play with his hands and they are usually in his mouth the majority of the time. He is getting stronger and stronger with tummy time and even pushed up a little bit the other night. He is such a good baby and we are truely blessed. Well here are pictures from the past week. Enjoy!!!
