It has been over a week since my last post and we have had a busy week. A week ago today was probably one of the roughest days of my life. I had to leave Cameron for the first time. I was just not in a good mood all day Sunday and was dreading having to leave him. We left our house about 6pm that night to head to my parents to drop Cameron off. The plan was for me to feed him about 7:30 and then leave and Mom would give him his bottle around 10ish. Well we got there and he could definately tell that I was upset and he didn't eat well from me at all which then made him really upset and he was difficult to settle down, which then made me even more upset. It was horrible. We finally got out of there a little before 9 and I cried the majority of the way home. That night she fed him his bottle around 10 something and he fell asleep, but she didn't get much sleep that night. She said Cameron kept making noises so she would get up and give him his pacifier and a neighbor dog was also outside barking until 3am. So my mom wasn't very happy that night. But Cameron slept through the night and did really good the rest of the day. They just hungout at the house so he could get used to being there. She then had Cameron back to our house by the time I got home from work and was able to feed him right when I got home. The smile on his face when I got home was the greatest thing in the world to come home to. My first day back to work wasn't too bad, we weren't too busy and I was able to pump when I needed to, but all could really think about was just getting home to see my boy.
Tuesday we just hung around the house all day and just relaxed for the most part until we had to take him back to my parent's house. This time it wasn't as bad as Sunday, but it is definately not easy leaving him.
Wednesday was another pretty good day at work, not too busy. The only thing I really think about is waiting until the clock hits 5pm so I can leave and come home to my boy. Mom and Dad both had Cameron here right before I got home after work. My dad left work early so he could come home and hang out with Cameron some. I think they both had a lot of fun playing with each other. When Cameron is laying on his activity center he likes to kick his legs, and then my dad comes up to him and moves his legs real quick back and forth and then tells Cameron "to run real fast" and he just cracks up. It is so funny.
Thursday we hung around the house and I don't think we did a whole lot. Although, Cameron kept me busy that day, because for some reason he wanted to eat every 2 1/2 hours and would only sleep for about 45minutes to an hour. So I was busy messing with him all day.
Friday we met my mom, Grandma Hicks, and Aunt Brenda for lunch and then we went to Ikea. We had Cameron in his carseat in a cart for awhile and he wanted out of that, so I carried him around for a little while and then he started to get fussy and cry. It was time for him to eat, so I grabbed his bottle and I walked as fast as I could to the cafeteria part to get some hot water. By the time I got there he was sound asleep. So I got the hot water and put his bottle in it and just stood there swaying back and forth with him. Once his bottle was warm I walked back to find my mom, grandma, and aunt. We walked around the upstairs some more and then once we got downstairs my arms and upper back were burning from still holding him while he slept. He was still asleep, but I put him back in his car seat so he could sleep some more. Within 5 minutes he was awake and content for a little while. Then he got hungry and so I picked him up and carried him around and fed him while finish walking through the rest of IKEA. I don't know how much he weighs, but he is heavy carrying him around for atleast 45 minutes. I was definately sweating. Friday evening Jason, Cameron, and I went out to eat at a mexican restaurant and he slept while we were there, then we came home and watched the first
Duke Basketball game of the season. Cameron wore his Duke onesie and Duke hat.

Saturday afternoon we had to go to my parents to winterize our boat. Jason and my dad did that while my mom and I played with Cameron. We were only there for about 2 hours, but didn't get home until 5:30 or 6 so we just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Today Jason's parents came up to see Cameron. They got here around 2pm and got to visit with Cameron, and then we went out to lunch. Cameron fell asleep on the way there and slept for a little bit while we were there. Then he woke up and I think he was a little scared because he didn't know where he was and he cried pretty hard. So we all took turns holding him for awhile. Jason and Cecil both walked him around the restaurant several times while we were there. Rita changed his diaper and then he calmed down for a bit and I almost got him to go back to sleep while we were eating. Then he got hungry so I had to get some hot water to warm his bottle. He ate his entire 6 ounce bottle. He is definately a big boy and eats like one. When we got home I got all of Cameron's stuff together and got all the milk he would need for tomorrow and Wednesday out of the freezer. We left our house about 6:30 and headed to my parent's house. We stayed for about 30 minutes, but he was a much happier boy tonight, so it makes it a little easier to leave, but it is still hard to leave him. I already talked with my mom and she said that he pooped up to his neck and got all over his clothes. She said it was a mess. He is is good hands, but I can't wait to see my little boy tomorrow a little after 5pm.

Finally a picture of Cameron and I together; 3 Months! |
This past week Cameron is getting stronger with his tummy time. He lifted his head and chest up off the floor and looked around both directions. He also is reaching for things and holding onto them. He absolutely loves to watch TV and whenever the TV is on he will turn his head completely around to watch it. He is just growing so fast. I can't believe he is 3 months old today. Well, hopefully it won't be so long until the next post.
