39 Weeks!

As soon as we got the camera out Carson stood right where I always stand

I guess he wanted his picture taken too!

Well, this past week has been a little eventful.  Not only last Friday did I turn 39 weeks pregnant, but I also turned 28 years old.  I definately don't feel 28, so I guess that is a good thing.  I enjoyed my birthday weekend and tried to get in some good eating at places we have never been before, because I was planning on Cameron's arrival sometime this week.  Anyhow, Friday evening Jason and I went to the Melting Pot for dinner and I really enjoyed,  though Jason thought it was too much work.  We both had fun though and I definately recommend going atleast once.

Saturday was a typical Saturday for us, we hung around the house a little and then when to the pool for about an hour and half.  It was too stinking hot outside for me not to be in the pool.  Its much more relaxing for Jason tha it is me at this point.  After that Jason made me walk up and down the stairs for 5 minutes to help move things along.  That obviousely didn't work.  Saturday evening we met my parents, Grandma Goodwin, and brother at Bucca di Peppos for dinner.  That was really good and definately had leftovers.

Sunday wasn't too exciting either besides we finally got the 2 pictures hung up in Cameron's room that have been waiting to be hung for several months now.  I thought he was just waiting for us to get those hung before he decided to come, but I guess I was wrong.  Jason and I also went and walked the mall for 30 minutes and I was for sure I would have made progress from last week.  Afterwards I definately felt pressure real down low.  But Again I was wrong.

Monday was a typical day went to work, and I triedto stand up a lot more at work then I usually do to just promote some progression, but Again I was wrong.  When I arrived home yesterday evening I felt pretty good, a little tired, but not like I typically do and Cameron was moving around at that point.  I fixed dinner and like I do every night I laid down on the couch on my left side just to make sure he made 10 movements in a hour which he usually does within the first 15 minutes of me laying down.  Well, last night was definately different.  I laid there for about an hour and I really had not felt him move at all.  Even from me poking at him he usually kicks me back and last night I felt nothing.  After an hour I got up and drank some juice which is supposed to get them moving and after a total of about a hour and forty-five minutes I may had only felt like 4 movements, so I was definately worried and got really upset.  Jason called the on call physician and left a message and we decided to go on in to the hospital to be checked out and monitored.  At that point I was really a mess and wasn't going to feel better until I was.  Once we got to the hospital the nurse hooked me up to the monitor and we heard his heart beat right away and within 5-10 minutes he made a movement that we could hear on the monitor.  That definately made me calm down a little bit.  They monitored me for about an hour and a half and the nurse even checked my cervix and I still had no changes and was still very thick.  Very disappointed with that, but happy Cameron was doing okay.

Today (Tuesday) I went to the doctor for my ultrasound and to be checked again and Cameron scored a perfect score again, all my fluids looked good, but he definately looked a little cramped in there.  My blood pressure was a little bit higher than normal today 126/88, but I wouldn't down that since the past evening was a little stressful.  I saw the doctor and still no change, he said I was very high and tight still.  I asked him many questions about induction and he said at this point it wouldn't be very successful because I was so high and tight and would likely end in a c-section.  So the plan for now unless Mr. Cameron decides to cooperate with us and come before Monday.  I have a ultrasound Monday at 12:45 and then see the doctor following.  If no changes have happened then we will most likely be scheduling either an induction or c-section next week sometime.  So between now and then I am going to try my best to do as much walking and anything else to get things rolling.  But most likely we should have him in our arms by the 12th.  Please keep your fingers crossed and pray everything goes well no matter how he decides to come into this world.  I will update you if anything else happens.
